College Projects

GENRE: Various
ROLE: N/A
ENGINE: Unreal Engine 5
YEAR: 2021 - 2023

College was where I was taught to use Unreal Engine 5, even before UE5 had been officially released.

Descriptions of certain projects can be seen below, though keep in mind that this stuff is the oldest work on my portfolio!

Year 2 FMP

For my second year final project, I got ambitious. My plan was to make a first person shooter/roguelike.

And by all accounts, I succeeded. I made everything I set out to do.
I created my own level generation system, 9 unique weapons, many MANY enemy variants, and even a boss battle at the end, all using 3D models that I created myself.

It's all very jank, due to the time restrictions, but I'm still proud of how it turned out. I started this project with solid targets (create a procedural level gen, add X amount of weapons and enemies and a boss battle, and add a simple story through text logs), and managed to hit all these targets without any compromise. This taught me to not let myself get side-tracked things that weren't in any agreed upon plan-

Character and world design

This was a project to make a character model and environment in the style of a preexisting property.

"Lil robot" competition

This was the winning entry of a little competition held by the college. It was simple. Design a robot, then create a 3D model of it.
This robot was designed as a little industrial maintenance drone.
